ACTION REQUESTED:
Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CITY PROJECT P20278; GLENWOOD WASTEWATER TRUNK SEWER
ISSUE STATEMENT: The work on this project has been completed by Wildish Construction Company., and final inspection, paperwork, and approval has been completed by consultant
engineer and City staff. The Project is now ready for City Council to formally
accept the work.

DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Glenwood Wastewater Trunk Sewer project was designed and constructed to provide sanitary sewer service to Glenwood. Construction of the project included the following:
• Installation of approximately 2,953’ of new 30 inch sanitary sewer pipe.
• Installation of approximately 741’ of new 8 inch sanitary sewer pipe.
• Installation of 9 new sanitary sewer manholes.
• Trench surface restoration
Funding for this project was provided through Sanitary Sewer User Fees and
System Development Charge collections. The total approved project budget was $1,600,000 and the project was completed for $1,581,467.57. Project costs included $1,305,891.81 for construction, $93,489.59 in City staff and project
management costs, and $182,086.17 for consultant design services and other costs.
All work done under this contract has been completed and inspected by the City
Engineer and found to be satisfactory.

Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and
has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield:
P20278, Glenwood Wastewater Trunk Sewer
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract
now on file in the City Recorder’s office; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the
contractor involved.
2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 16th day of
June, 2014.
