Employee Recognition - Ken V ogeney, 10 Years of Service
Personal Data/Promotions/Career Highlights:
. In his first 7 years, Ken occupied 7 different office spaces
. Came here after working 10 years for cities in the San Francisco Bay area doing land
development review
. From 1997 to 2000, worked in Engineering as a Civil Engineer for Land Development Review
. From 2000 to 2002, worked in Environmental Services as a Civil Engineer in Water Resources
. From 2002 to 2005, was the Supervising Civil Engineer for Land Development in Engineering
. From 2005 to now, is the City Engineer
Department Changes:
· In the Engineering Division, he is considered an "old-timer" with 10 years of service. Currently,
of the 27 positions in Engineering, only 5 of them have been in Engineering for 10 years or
more, while 15 employees have been with the Division for less than 5 years.
Employee Growth:
· Has performed well in his tenure with Springfield obtaining 2 promotions and currently serves as
a Division Head.
· Has served on the S.E.E. Committee for last 2 years, and has been Vice Chairperson of S.E.E.
since January 2007.
Significant Projects/Events:
· Some significant Development Projects: Levi Landing; MountainGate; WalMart; RiverBend
Campus; MLK Jr. Parkway; S. 42nd Street Improvements; Symantec; Royal Caribbean.
. His leadership was key to the successful completion of these projects.
