The LTP4 connections between the "existing" rim joist and the 1" floor proposed walls are not
required to be installed if the following criteria is met:
-the wall sheathing extends from the existing rim to the framed walls below.
-the plywood edge is blocked at the framed wall.
-the nailing to the rim joist to the rim joist and blocking is a minimum of 8d @ 6 inches on center
or the specified nailing at the shear wall locations.
