ISSUE STATEMENT: The Police Planning Task Force has two At-Large positions available from the resignations of Pat Mahoney and Fred Simmons. The two available candidates were interviewed at the October 28, 2013 Work Session. ATTACHMENTS: Attachment 1 – Police Planning Task Force Charge and Roster Attachment 2 – Candidate Applications DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: Carol Ford and Isa Aviad were interviewed at the October 28, 2013 Council Work Session for the two vacant At-Large positions. Staff recommends both be appointed. January 9, 2013 Police Planning Task Force CHARGE It is the duty of the task force to provide citizen input regarding police policy matters and implementation of the Council adopted Long Range Strategic Plan for Police Services to the Chief of Police. The task force meets not less than quarterly and is required to provide the City Council with an annual report of its activities.
