Fire Department comments are as follows:

Access:
1. The fire apparatus access road for this proposal shall be 26 feet clear width due to the length
of this road exceeding 500"feet per 2010 Springfield Fire Code Table D103.4. Parking can be
allowed on either side provided it is outside that 26 foot clear width. Otherwise, no parking
signage shall be required on either or both sides where parking may encroach on the required
fire apparatus access width.
2. The turn radii to access this road and for the proposed turnaround shall be not less than 30
inside and 50 feet wall to wall outside (SFC 503.2.4).
3. Fire apparatus access roads shall be an all weather surface capable of supporting an 80,000
lb. imposed load.
Water Supply:
Two fire hydrants are required due to the length of this proposal. Contact Bart McKee at SUB Water
for further information. - •
