Flashing the original detail (SMACNA 3-3#18 Butt Seam with Backup Plates)
SUMMARY OF TODAY'S WORK/ DEVIATIONS/SPECIAL NOTES:
Summary Comments: Stedman Sheet Metal re-installed the existing parapet coping. A new continuous
cleat was fastened 6" on center with 1.5" double hot dipped galvanized nails. The cleat was set in a bed of
Tremco Spectrum (S1) prior to attachment. The existing coping system utilized 6" wide concealed splice
plates at the coping butt joints. The contractor duplicated the concealed splice plate system. Three beads
of S1 were applied to each side of the splice plate prior to setting and fastening the metal coping. 0.25"
gaps were maintained between the successive lengths of coping to allow for thermal movement.
Unresolved EVOCO Deviation Number(s): 0
Special Notes: None today.
