Site Plan Review Minor Modification TYP1 12-00036 Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant.
Address: 2770 Gateway Street
Existing Use: Vacant building (former Hollywood Video store)
Proposal: Demolish existing building; construct 5,775 sq. ft. restaurant
Planner: Liz Miller, Planner
Fire Department Comments:
Water Supply: OK. Pre-existing from 1980s. Fire Hydrant 8AH-2 at corner of property facing Gateway
Street; connected off 8 inch line.
Access: OK. Fire apparatus access roads shall support an 80,000 lb. imposed load per 2010
Springfield Fire Code 503.2.3 and SFC Appendix D102.1.
Landscaping: A 3 foot clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of fire hydrants
(2010 SFC 507.5.5).
Landscaping: Immediate access to fire department connections shall be maintained at all times and
without obstruction by fences, bushes, trees, walls or any other object (2010 SFC 912.3). Working
space shall be maintained 3 feet in width on both sides of the FDC, 3 feet in depth in front of the FDC
and 78 inches in height (2010 SFC 912.3.2).
Okay, that's more like it.
