This proposal is a KP-Amerex .
system consisting of two KP 275
cylinders with 8 maximum flow
points each (16 total). One cylinder
supports four 12
x16 fryers with a 13729 nozzle (2
flow points for each nozzle)
protecting each fryer. The other
cylinder supports one 16416 duct
nozzle (one flow point) protecting a
14 inch diameter round duct; two
11982 plenum nozzles (one flow
point each) protecting a 14 foot 4
inch long hood, and four 11982
nozzles protecting a Burger
King/Nelco Chain Broiler with two
catalysts (requiring two nozzles for
each catalyst).
The plans for the Burger King
remodel were submitted under the
2004 Oregon Structural Specialty
Code and 2004 Springfield Fire
Code. Therefore, no fire alarm
system is required for this submittal
and the kitchen hood system is not
required to be connected to a fire
alarm system.
