Contractor: Chambers Construction BP No.: COM2009-00184 Periodic Inspection:
Performed inspection on the reinforcing steel in 8" CMU infills on line 2, from D to F,
5'4" to one(1) course below top of infill that is a reinforced bond beam. The last course
will be slugged with mortar as blocks are installed per contractor. Reinforcing steel was
checked for grade, size, lap, placement, quantities and clearance, where applicable.
Reinforced cells appear relatively clean and free of excessive mortar projections.
Observed the placement of 4.5 yards of Knife River 7sk grout (mix 247KG3R200).
Grout was placed by pump and was mechanically consolidated. Walls were grouted
solid. Slump -±10"; air temperature—63F; grout temperature—66F.
Gabe Morse (Hap's Masonry) was advised of the on-site observations and was asked
to notify our office when additional services are needed.
To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected was in accordance with plans dated
01-30-09 and applicable workmanship provisions of the I.B.C., except if noted above.
