Inspection of: Shear Wall Nailing Weather: Clear Continuous Inspection: ❑
Contractor: Chambers Construction Co. BP No.: 811-SPR2012-02519 Periodic Inspection:
Performed nailing inspection on the exterior face of the perimeter W6 2nd floor shear
walls on lines 6 & C. The 15/32" APA rated plywood was secured to the framing
members with 10d nails. The Simpson CS16 straps and CMSTC16 hold down straps
were secured with #10 nails and extend past openings a minimum of 24" on each side,
four (4) hold down straps on line F, between 3 & 6, upper and lower straps on four (4)
windows on line 6 and two (2) windows on line F. Verified nail spacing at panel edges
and at intermediate studs conforms to requirements specified in shear wall schedule.
John (CCC) was advised and was asked to notify our office when additional services
are needed.
To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected was in accordance with plans dated
12-19-12 and applicable workmanship provisions of the I.B.C., except if noted above.
