Re: Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Dog Kennel
on TL-1300, Map 17-03-23-3-4 (C.U.P. 69-69)
At its meeting of September 9, 1969) the Lane County Planning
Commission approved your request for a conditional use permit to
operate a dog kennel in the RA District. The Commission's recom-
mendation to the Board of County Commissioners is that the permit be.
granted, subject to the following conditions:
1. The operation of the dog kennel be limited ,to a period of
not more than six months from the effective date of the
Ordinance granting the permit;
2. Dog litter resulting from the operation of the kennel
be disposed of on a frequent basis in the manner
specified by the Department of Health & Sanitation,
to avoid any possible problems of flies) odor or any other
unsanitary condition;
3. The breed of dog be limitedcto the small breed of dog now
maintained- by the applicant) or other breeds of similar or
smaller size;
.- 4. The number of dogs over the age of four months be limited
to nine.
The ordinance granting .the permit is scheduled to be heard by the "
Soard of County Commissioners next week, with the final reading two
weeks later. If approved by them, the ordinance will be effective
30 days thereafter.
