ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The supply and distribution of electricity is essential to Springfield citizens and
plays a key role in the future growth and development of the community. Jeff
Nelson of the Springfield Utility Board (SUB) will provide an overview of
Springfield Utility Board’s electric service.

FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
This item is being presented as an informational item. The ability to supply
electricity to meet the needs of existing and future customers is important to the
growth and development of the community. The Springfield Utility Board is well
known for reliable service at a cost that is below neighboring communities. Jeff
Nelson will be providing an overview of the condition of the electrical system and
Springfield Utility Board’s ability to meet future demands.
