Inclusion of the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater District was in error as Lane County dissolved this District on June 9, 2010. ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Ordinance. DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: On November 19, 2012, Council adopted Ordinance No. 6282 to annex property at 2576 16th Street to the City of Springfield, Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater Service District and Willamalane Park and Recreation District. Inclusion of the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater District was in error as Lane County dissolved this District on June 9, 2010. The subject property is a residential lot with an existing single family dwelling that had a failed septic system. The property owners requested annexation to the City to facilitate connection of the dwelling to City sanitary sewer. Council is asked to adopt the proposed ordinance in order to delete the reference to the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater Service District inadvertently included in Ordinance No. 6282. No fiscal impact is anticipated. ORDINANCE NO. _____ ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6282 BY DELETING THE ANNEXATION OF THE PROPERTY TO THE LANE COUNTY METROPOLITAN WASTEWATER SERVICE DISTRICT The Common Council of the City of Springfield finds that: WHEREAS, on November 19, 2012, the Springfield City Council adopted Ordinance No. 6282 annexing property subject to the Ordinance to the City of Springfield and into the Willamalane Park and Recreation District and also into the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater Service District; and WHEREAS, Lane County dissolved the Lane County Metropolitan Wastewater Service District on June 9, 2010, and it was error to include the reference to the District. NOW, THEREFORE, The City of Springfield ordains as follows: Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 6282 is amended to read as follows: “SECTION 1: The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby approve annexation of the following described territory to the City of Springfield and Willamalane Park and Recreation District, said territory being described as follows: A portion of the 16th Street right-of-way and Lot 4, Block 4 of the plat of FIRST ADDITION TO DELROSE ADDITION, within Township 17 South, Range 03 West, Section 24, Map 34 as generally depicted and more particularly described in Exhibit A.” Section 2: All other provisions of Ordinance No. 6282 remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
